About

“I want to touch people with my art. I want them to say 'he feels deeply, he feels tenderly.'”
-Vincent Van Gogh
Nicholas Holman is a third generation artist born in 1993 in St. Louis, Missouri. He spent a few years of his childhood in Orlando, FL, later returning to Missouri, where he remained until 2015. It was then that he decided to return to Florida and put roots down in Saint Petersburg, where he currently resides with his partner Joe and their pet family.
Growing up as the son of an artist, and the grandson of an art teacher, many aspects of Nick’s early life were encompassed by the arts. However, it wasn’t until the summer of 2014 when Nick truly found his artistic voice. Through his appreciation of nature and his surroundings, Nick has been able to express his passion for conservation through his creations. He is driven by his desire to communicate the beauty in nature, and to inspire others to care for the natural world as much he does.
For most of his life, Nick planned to study environmental science, but with the support of his partner and their animals, Nick has been able to realize his calling as an artist. After studying a year and a half at Ringling College of Art and Design (RCAD) he realized something was not working. While the curriculum is exceptional he found that illustration was not fulfilling him, he decided to withdraw fall of 2017. Come spring of 2019 Nick and his family will relocate to Wilkes-Barrre, PA. so that he can complete his education at the Ani Art Academy and study under Anthony Wiachulis. This atelier will be the next big step for Nick and his artistic journey.
